PLEASE JOIN OUR MAJOR ANNUAL
A fun and informational one-mile walk around beautiful Occom Pond, with ten informational stations along the way, each representing one of the Zimbabwean villages Zienzele supports.
All proceeds will pay school fees for the students in those villages!
Join as an individual, or recruit friends to make it a fun team effort!
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
THE WALK AROUND OCCOM POND IS A FLAT ONE-MILE WALK
You begin at the Dartmouth Outing Club where we give you a ‘Zienzele passport.’ Along the walk we will have ten stations that represent ten of the villages Zienzele supports. At each station we will give you:
-information about each village and the people who live there
-a stamp in your ‘Zienzele passport’
-water and snacks
Once you finish your walk, we invite you and a guest to join the Zienzele Board of Directors for our annual Zienzele Night: an evening of food, music and fun at the Dartmouth Outing Club (the finish line of the walk)!
THE SPONSOR DONATION SHEET:
EASY TO FILL OUT!
Download your copy of our sponsor donation sheet HERE.
2. Your sponsor chooses a village from the list, puts their name in the sponsor column next to that village, and writes their email address in the column next to that. Then your sponsor decides the amount they wish to donate, and writes that down in the ‘donation’ column.
We suggest a MINIMUM donation per village of $10- that is the cost of one student’s school fees for one term. People are welcome to donate as much as they wish or sign up to sponsor you for more than one village, too!
3. Next, your sponsor will give you their donation!
Please collect your sponsor’s donations WHEN THEY SIGN UP.
They can pay in cash, with Venmo (@jim-clark-67 please tag as walk for ZF), or with a check written to the Zienzele Foundation.
Please bring your completed sponsor sheet with collected donations to the event: we will have a collection desk at the Dartmouth Outing Club for you!
For sponsors: The Zienzele Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Please contact the email above if you would like a receipt for your donation.
